Construction of the new transfer press is progressing

The work on the construction site of the new transfer press in Heilbronn are proceeding at full speed.

With the groundbreaking ceremony in June 2015 LÄPPLE Automotive Heilbronn started with the construction of its new transfer press. Since then, the works are proceeding at full speed; the progress on the construction site is great.

At the end of 2015, the 1,300 m³ large foundation for the finally 1,000-ton transfer press was completed. Currently soil remediation and repainting are carried out.

At the same time the press manufacturer Schuler is working on the internal assembly of the transfer press.

The responsible production manager of LÄPPLE Automotive, Ralph Lintz, expressed his satisfaction with the progress: "Despite some surprises that occurred while laying foundations, we have so far remained within our timetable. For the coming months, we are confident - employees, suppliers and contractors are motivated to get everything to the start on time."

Positive messages can also be reported on the sales side. Far ahead of the official inauguration two-thirds of the capacity of the new transfer press are already occupied with orders.

First parts of the transfer press are expected to be delivered for installation in Heilbronn in February 2016.

The whole system is taken in operation in summer 2016 and can produce components made of steel, high-strength steel and aluminum in a total area of 375 m² with a press force of up to 25,000 kN.
